CorDynamics Celebrates Five Years in Business
Chicago, Illinois, September 2008 —- CorDynamics is celebrating its five year anniversary. Now, 25 employees and more than 100 satisfied clients later, the pharmaceutical contract research organization is ready to continue its tradition of providing the best cardiovascular drug discovery and safety assessments in the industry.
“These past five years have been phenomenal. We’ve been able to grow our business on all fronts, from the types of services we offer to the number of employees and size of our laboratories to a newly redesigned website,” says Dr. Michael R. Gralinski, CorDynamics CEO and Co-Founder. “Whether it’s drug discovery, lead optimization screening or regulatory studies, we can fulfill many of the cardiovascular needs a client may have. Every client has budget and time constraints surrounding an important pharmaceutical question. We can accurately and affordably customize an approach for each client.”
Most recently, the Chicago-based company renovated and expanded laboratory space in their current facilities, located within the Illinois Medical District. The laboratories feature surgical rooms for in vivo studies, multiple isolated heart stations and a dedicated telemetry suite for up to 32 subjects.
With the larger capacity, CorDynamics is now able to enlist both small and large animal telemetry paradigms to produce everything from GLP comprehensive interrogations of test article on hemodynamics and electrocardiograms to screening of lead candidates early in the development process. The organization also continues to leverage the isolated heart and anesthetized models to help clients study the various cardiovascular effects of compounds.
“It’s rewarding to celebrate the past five years, but our focus is on the next five years,” says Gralinski. “As a team, we are always asking ourselves what we can do next—scientifically, technically and personally—to give our clients the ultimate customer service experience.”
CorDynamics is a contract research organization and consulting group focused on examining the cardiovascular effects of emerging drug candidates. The company is an industry leader in cardiovascular research and provides support with discovery and drug safety studies for more than 100 international biopharmaceutical clients.
